I think we all went in knowing that there would be potential dangers in that mansion. We knew the risk, and yet... I'm more angry that I couldn't prevent losses there. What good am I as a Spring power holder if I can't even do that?

We knew the risk would increase by splitting up and chose to do it anyway. You can't be everywhere at once. I'm thankful my shield covered her enough to keep her alive, however, all of this could have been avoided if I hadn't made the choices I had. It doesn't matter what my reasoning was, it still happened.
Given how big the mansion was, splitting up sounded reasonable at the time.

Truthfully, we can't be for certain that your choices would have fully prevented what happened. There are a number of possibilities that could have changed the outcome. And it wasn't as if we had fully explored the mansion, either.
